OutBrain Integration in CPV One tracker

CPV One’s integration with Outbrain provides accurate tracking of native ad clicks and conversions for data-driven campaign optimization.

Outbrain is a leading native advertising platform that connects advertisers with engaged readers across a curated network of premium editorial publishers, including major media brands, news sites, and lifestyle publications. Like Taboola, Outbrain serves content recommendation-style ads in editorial feeds, but is particularly known for its strong Tier 1 publisher relationships and high-quality contextual placements in the US, UK, and Western Europe.

Outbrain supports CPM and CPC pricing models and is widely used by performance marketers for advertorial-style campaigns in verticals including health, finance, insurance, ecommerce, and direct response.

CPV One conversion tracker integrates with Outbrain via S2S postback tracking. CPV One comes with Outbrain pre-configured in its Traffic Sources catalog. Your Outbrain campaign URLs are routed through CPV One's tracking links, capturing publisher, section, and creative data before redirecting visitors to your landing page.

The same integration works in CPV Lab (self-hosted version).

With this integration, you can:

  • Track all Outbrain clicks and conversions inside CPV One in real time, matched to publisher, section, and creative
  • Send confirmed conversions back to Outbrain to power its campaign optimization tools
  • Monitor actual spend vs. conversion revenue to calculate true ROI per publisher and placement
  • Split test native ad headlines, images, and landing pages against Outbrain traffic in CPV One
  • Build publisher whitelists and blacklists based on conversion data from CPV One, not impressions or CTR
  • Compare Outbrain performance against Taboola and other native sources side by side in one dashboard
  • Syncronize costs via API to have accurate data
  • Use your tracked data for AI automations

How it works

You import Outbrain from CPV One's Traffic Sources catalog and configure your postback URL with the relevant Outbrain tracking tokens.

Your Outbrain ad URLs are replaced with CPV One tracking links that capture publisher, section, ad ID, and cost data on each click.

When a visitor converts, CPV One logs the conversion and fires the postback back to Outbrain for attribution.

Why it matters

Outbrain's premium publisher network means your ads appear in brand-safe, high-trust environments, but editorial native traffic varies enormously in quality by publisher, section, and audience segment.

You can have two publishers driving similar click volumes but radically different conversion rates.

With CPV One tracking each Outbrain click to its source, you can quickly identify which publishers convert and which are burning budget, and scale your campaigns on real conversion data rather than surface metrics like CTR or CPC.
