Affiliate Network Integration

« Back to Glossary Index

Affiliate Network Integration in CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  is the process of connecting your campaigns to affiliate networks so that clicks, conversions, and payouts are tracked seamlessly. Since most affiliates rely on third-party networks to access offers, correct integration ensures that conversions are reported accurately and tied to the right campaigns.

Why It Matters

Affiliate networks use unique tracking links and postback macros to identify and validate conversions. If these aren’t set up correctly, you risk underreporting conversions, losing revenue, or being unable to optimize campaigns. CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  simplifies this process with pre-built affiliate network templates, ensuring accuracy and saving setup time.

How It Works in CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)

  1. Select Network Template: CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  has a library of templates for popular affiliate networks (e.g., MaxBounty, ClickDealer, PeerFly). Each template includes the correct tokens, macros, and postback parameters.
  2. Create Offer in CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One) : When you add an offer to a campaign, you choose the affiliate network from the dropdown. CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  then generates the correct Offer URL and Postback URL with placeholders for tokens.
  3. Configure Postback in Network: Copy the CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  Postback URL and paste it into the affiliate network’s tracking system. This ensures that when a conversion occurs, the network notifies CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  with the correct Click ID (see: Click ID).
  4. Test Integration: Run test clicks and conversions to verify that everything is working correctly before sending live traffic.

Example

Suppose you want to promote an insurance lead-gen offer from MaxBounty. In CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One) , you add the offer and select “MaxBounty” as the affiliate network. The system automatically generates an Offer URL like this:

https://track.maxbounty.com/click?offerid=1234&affid=5678&subid={clickid}

It also generates a Postback URL like:

https://yourtracker.com/postback?cid={clickid}&payout={payout}

When users click your ad, {clickid} is replaced with a real CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  Click ID. When they convert, MaxBounty fires the postback, replacing {clickid} and {payout} with actual values. CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  then logs the conversion.

Advantages

  • Saves Time: No need to manually configure network parameters.
  • Prevents Errors: Templates ensure tokens match correctly between CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  and the network.
  • Supports Dynamic Payouts: Many networks pass back varying payouts, and CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  captures them automatically.
  • Compatibility: Works with hundreds of networks worldwide.

Troubleshooting Integration

  • If conversions aren’t showing, confirm that the Postback URL is added correctly in the network.
  • Double-check that the correct Click ID macro is used in the Offer URL.
  • Test with network support tools (many networks allow “test fire” of conversions).
  • Check for HTTPS mismatches (some networks require secure links).

Best Practices

  • Always use network templates when available.
  • For custom networks, carefully map tokens and test before scaling traffic.
  • Track payouts dynamically where possible for accurate ROI.
  • Maintain a record of your network settings in CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  for consistency across campaigns.

In summary, Affiliate Network Integration in CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One)  bridges the gap between your campaigns and the networks you rely on for offers. Proper integration ensures that every conversion is captured, every payout is accurate, and every report reflects real performance.
