A Direct Linking Campaign<\/a><\/strong> in CPV tracker (CPV Lab<\/a> or CPV One<\/a>) is one of the simplest campaign<\/a> types you can set up. It sends visitors<\/a> directly from the traffic source to the affiliate offer<\/a> without an intermediate landing page<\/a>. This type of campaign<\/a> is often used by beginners for quick testing or by experienced marketers when they want to validate new offers or traffic sources quickly.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

How It Works<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When you create a direct linking campaign<\/a> in CPV Lab, the system generates a Campaign URL<\/a><\/strong> that contains tracking<\/a> parameters. You place this URL in your ads on the traffic source. When a user clicks<\/a>, CPV tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One) records the click, assigns a unique Click ID<\/a><\/strong>, and immediately redirects the visitor to the offer<\/a> page. If the user converts, the affiliate network<\/a> reports the conversion<\/a> back to CPV tracker (CPV Lab<\/a> or CPV One<\/a>) via either Pixel Tracking<\/a><\/strong> or an S2S Postback<\/a><\/strong> (see: Conversion<\/a>, S2S Postback<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike campaigns that include landing pages, there are no intermediate steps. This makes reporting simpler, but it also means you cannot measure or optimize click-through rates from a landing page<\/a> because there is none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
